APPLICATION AREAS

Polymex-7011-Astar is used as a primer for Helipad Floor Coating to protect metal surfaces from mechanical and atmospheric corrosion. It is manufactured in accordance with MIL PRF 24667 Type I Composition C. Helipad Floor Primer

APPLICATION

Surface Preparation Steel Surfaces:

The application surface must be clean, dry and free of dirt. Oil and grease on the metal surface should be removed with detergent or steam, salt and other contaminants should be removed with high pressure fresh water. For optimum performance, Near-White Metal Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP10) can be performed. After cleaning, for best results, blasting should be carried out at Sa 2½ level according to ISO 8501-1 standard.

Aluminum Surfaces:

Aluminum and light alloy surfaces are cleaned with solvent and the surface is abrasive blasted. P-7011-Helipad Floor Primer

Application Conditions / Limits

Surface Temperature: Minimum +10°C / Maximum +39°C

Environmental Temperature: Minimum +10°C / Maximum +45°C

Surface Moisture Content: Moisture content by weight < 3% Relative Humidity Up to 85% Dew Point: Surface ground temperature should be at least 3°C above the condensation point. Preparation of the mixture

Component A is mixed in itself, then all of the hardener in the small can is poured into the main material and mixed until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. The mixture should be used within 3 hours (23°C) after resting for 3-4 minutes. P-7011-Helipad Floor Primer

Cleaning Equipment used with Polymex Thinner should be cleaned before the paint dries.
